Travel Scholarship

Our Mission: Our mission is to empower students by providing travel-related scholarships that enable educational and cultural experiences. We aim to broaden horizons, foster global understanding, and support personal growth through educational-based travel opportunities.

Eligibility: All New Hampshire high school students (currently enrolled in grades 9-12) participating in a school-sponsored or educational-based travel program are welcome to apply.

Selection Criteria: Academic excellence is not a factor in selecting candidates for awards; however, we do expect students to demonstrate reasonable achievement and a commitment to their studies. Financial need, academic merit and other non-academic factors such as community service, school activities and work experience may be taken into consideration. Priority may be given to students with the fewest financial resources.

Application & Award Annual Schedule: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed and awarded quarterly. Quarterly submission deadlines are: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Scholarships will be awarded no later than 15 days after each quarterly review.

Award Amounts: Awards typically range from $150 to $500, but may be more if the Foundation deems the student to have exceptional merit or financial need. The Foundation will take the following into consideration when determining the award amount: the cost of the trip, financial need, number of applicants, and information contained in the candidate’s supporting documents.

Students Must Submit the following:
• Completed Application
• 2 Letters of Recommendation from teachers or mentors
• A minimum 1-page essay, detailing your travel plans, why this travel opportunity is important to you, and if awarded, how the funds would be used.
• Any additional information about your personal, financial, or family circumstances that you would like us to take into consideration when determining award eligibility or amounts.
